The SH BQ-270V is a single-clamp binder that offers high-speed, variable thickness, professional quality perfect-bound books. The colour touch screen is icon based—all set ups can be done instantly by simply inputting book block and cover information. The BQ-270V includes an automated, sensor-activated digital caliper system which consistently measures book block thickness and automatically transfers this data to the binder. As one book is cycling, a subsequent book of different thickness can be measured, the data will be transferred, and the binder will begin the changeover—every book can be a different thickness. Other features include a strong, rigid nipping mechanism, automatic air-suction cover feeding with in-line scoring, and a compact configuration.
